Description
The JUMO smartCALC app enables fast and precise technical calculations in measurement, control, and automation technology. Intuitive calculators support users in calculating, converting, and evaluating various parameters while taking relevant tolerance classes into account. The app is available for Android and iOS devices. It stores calculation histories and impresses with a simple, practical operating concept. Resistance thermometer calculator: The calculator determines, depending on the selected Pt sensor and connection type (2- or 3/4-wire), the corresponding resistance from the measured temperature and vice versa. It also displays the maximum permissible error in temperature and resistance according to DIN EN 60751 for the selected tolerance class. For the 2-wire connection type, the cable loop resistance as well as the resulting temperature deviation due to line resistance are also considered and displayed. Transmitter calculator: The calculator determines, for temperature and pressure transmitters, the resulting electrical output signal from the selected output signal (e.g., 4–20 mA, 0–10 V), the defined measuring range (minimum and maximum values), and the entered measured value (temperature or pressure). This can also be done in reverse, where the corresponding measured value is calculated from the electrical output signal. Common current, voltage, and ratiometric signals are supported. Thermocouple calculator: Depending on the selected thermocouple type (e.g., E, J, K, N, T, R, S, B) and the reference temperature, the calculator determines the potential difference from the measured temperature or, conversely, the temperature from the measured potential difference. In addition, the permissible errors in temperature and voltage according to DIN EN 60584 for the selected tolerance class are displayed.
