KHSL Predictions Board

KHSL Predictions Board makes chance something you can see: the reader puzzled by a "40% chance of rain", the patient trying to understand a test result, anyone who wants to read risk headlines without being fooled.

Every number becomes a crowd. Instead of a bare percentage you see a hundred or a thousand people with the lucky or unlucky ones lit up — the way researchers recommend explaining probability so it actually makes sense.

WHAT YOU GET
• Watch — ten animated explainers you can play, pause and scrub: natural frequencies, the medical test and Bayes, relative versus absolute risk, the birthday problem, the coin with no memory, regression to the mean, the law of large numbers, conditional chance, rare events and the three doors
• Sandbox — type any chance as a percent, a decimal or "1 in N" and see it as a crowd; compare two chances side by side or see the chance of something happening at least once over many tries
• Gut check — a daily set of nine quick calls: read a grid, pick the likelier of two events and place a chance on a scale from 1 in 2 to 1 in 100 million; your record, a score trend and a guess-versus-reality chart
• Everyday — fifty real-life numbers with sources about the body, weather, transport, nature and space, each shown as a crowd
• Notebook — save your own grids with a name, colour, shelf, where you heard the number and a note; a glossary of 32 words of chance and the fine print on how numbers are computed
