KLSCM 2020 Virtual Run

Welcome to the inaugural Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon 2020 Virtual Run (KLSCM 2020 VR)!

KLSCM 2020 VR will include four distance categories to choose from – Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and 5km.

You can choose to run as an individual or in a team (of three) during the event race dates.

Regardless of whether you’re in it to beat your personal best or just to run for fun, the KLSCM 2020 VR is for you. Good news is that every registration will be included in the KLSCM participation history.

Even better news is that REGISTRATION IS FREE, and it is open to everyone (12 years old and above) from anywhere around the world.

HERE’S HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE KLSCM 2020 VR

Head over to https://www.kl-marathon.com/ and register.

Download the KLSCM VR App and create an account.

Follow the App instructions to claim your e-bib.

Choose one of the following activity trackers to complete your run:

-KLSCM VR App (RECOMMENDED)
Garmin, Fitbit, Polar, Apple Watch, Suunto (connect a wearable to KLSCM VR App before your run and sync it after your run)
Any other running app or GPS running watch (upload GPX file to a web platform after your run)

(If you think you will rank in the top 5, you must run with a secondary device as you will be asked to provide proof of performance – heart rate, cadence and splits.)


Complete your run in a single activity, during the event race dates.

Submit your record of your official run via the App.

View your results and download your e-certificate.


KEY FEATURES

This KLSCM VR App comes complete with convenient and user-friendly features. Download now and feel free to do a practice run to get a feel of it.

PROFILE PICTURE: Can upload individual profile picture and team profile picture for your team (team category).

ACTIVITY TRACKER: Map display with GPS-based location and in-activity display of distance, time and pace. The running time automatically stops once distance is achieved. (Ensure your location settings for the App are on, and set to ‘always allow’ to ensure your location can be accurately tracked).

LEADERBOARD: Individuals are ranked by time, while teams are ranked by cumulative time (total time).

FEED: After your run, you will be prompted to share your activity to the feed. Add a caption and upload photos of your run.

AUGMENTED REALITY FACE FILTER: Take a selfie shot with KLSCM 2020 VR medal and share to the feed.

WEARABLE INTEGRATION: Can sync with activity tracker (Garmin, Fitbit, Polar, Apple Watch and Suunto) and upload GPX file to a web platform.

Sync your account with the Health app (HealthKit) to read and track your workout data and calculate your leaderboard score.
