Kosmomo: Planet Merge

Gravity pulls toward the centre here, not down.

Drop a planet at the rim and watch it curve in, roll around the core, and settle into orbit. When two of the same planet touch, they merge into the next one up. Pluto becomes the Moon, the Moon becomes Mercury, and eleven merges later you are holding the Sun.

One round teaches you everything. Stopping is the hard part.

WHY IT PLAYS DIFFERENTLY

Most merge games drop straight down into a jar. Kosmomo drops into a gravity well. Planets swing past each other, nudge the pile, and settle in ways you did not plan, so a board that looked finished can open up a merge you never saw. Physics does half the work. Knowing when to wait is the other half.
