Lampada — Orthodox Calendar

Lampada is a quiet companion for daily Orthodox life. Open it once in the morning and you know the day: what the fast asks, who the Church remembers, and what the readings are.

Lampada was reviewed by His Eminence Archbishop Michael of New York and New Jersey (Orthodox Church in America) and carries his blessing.

THE FAST, ALWAYS CLEAR
Every day shows its fasting discipline at a glance — strict fast, wine and oil, fish, dairy, or fast-free — following the Orthodox calendar. A lock or home screen widget keeps today's fast in front of you without opening the app, and it changes with the day, automatically.

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
A growing prayer book, beautifully set for reading — morning and evening prayers, prayers at the table, the Hours, and more, with the week's tone and the day's troparia where they belong. New prayers are added over time, all reproduced by permission of St. Tikhon's Monastery Press.

THE DAILY READINGS
The appointed epistle and Gospel for each day, with the prokeimenon, in a clean reading view made for actually reading — adjustable text size, page turns between readings, and commentary from the Church Fathers on the passage you're looking at.

THE SAINTS OF THE DAY
Lives of the saints and commemorations for every day of the year, with troparia and kontakia.

PREPARE FOR CONFESSION
A private space to note what you want to confess or discuss — kept only on your device, never uploaded anywhere.

THE FASTING KITCHEN
What can we actually eat today? Lampada answers it. A free set of hand-picked recipes matches every fasting tier. Lampada Premium adds the full kitchen: AI recipes tuned to the day's fast and your tastes, dinners built from what's already in your pantry, a whole week planned in one tap with the shopping list written for you — and every recipe adapts to YOUR kitchen: slow cooker, Instant Pot, or one pot, in a tap. Premium is $29.99/year or $3.99/month, each with a 7-day free trial. Everything else in Lampada stays free, always.
