Lark: Start Your Day Right

Lark is the alarm that doesn't take "five more minutes" for an answer.

Snoozing isn't a willpower problem. It's a negotiation you hold at your weakest moment. Lark ends it: your alarm keeps ringing until you prove you're actually up.

HOW YOU PROVE IT
Set your alarm in a sentence, "Wake me at 7:00 on weekdays," then choose how you'll turn it off. When it rings, finishing the mission is the only way to silence it:

• Photo hunt: pick things around your home, and each morning Lark chooses one for you to find with your camera
• Exercise: push-ups, sit-ups or squats, counted rep by rep by your camera
• Scan QR: put a code somewhere you can't reach from bed, and the walk is the mission
• Hold or speak: say your morning line out loud, or hold to confirm it
• Math: wake your brain up, no camera needed

Dismiss it without finishing and Lark rings again. Getting up stops being optional. It becomes the shortest path back to silence.

MEET YOUR LARK
Your companion is a little origami bird that grows with your streak: Hatchling, Fledgling, Songbird, Soaring, and at 30 straight mornings the Golden Lark. Win and it flies. Miss one and it droops. (Every 7th straight win banks a streak freeze, so one rough morning won't undo a great month.)

YOUR ISLAND
Your bird lives somewhere, and every morning you win makes it more. Wins pay seeds, and seeds buy land: tap the water and the coast pushes out where you asked. Build a nest, plant gardens, decorate, and pull the overgrowth that sprouts overnight for seeds back. Win a morning and a chest washes ashore. A place only you could have, because nobody else woke up the same mornings.

MORNING GAMES
Short games that carry on the wake-up: hunt shells on the beach, fly through rainbows, herd cattle and more. Shell Hunt is free; the others come with an outfit for your bird. On a won morning, your first round of each game pays seeds.

FRIENDS
Add friends and see their streaks, the medals they earn and how your rank moved this week. Visit each other's islands: every visit leaves your friend 5 seeds. A friend who won today might turn up on yours.

LEADERBOARDS
Reach level 5 and the rankings open. See where you stand against your friends, your country and everyone on Lark, by XP, streak, wins, this week or best run.

GROW YOUR FLOCK
Medals hatch new birds: cardinal, blue jay, raven, owl, seagull, hummingbird, flying fish, pterodactyl, albatross, and at 30 straight mornings the phoenix. Eleven in all, each growing its own way. Dress them in the wardrobe and pick the sky they fly in.

WIN YOUR MORNINGS
Every mission ends in a Morning Win: your streak, your time from ring to done, and how it compares to your usual. Wins pay XP, with bonuses for rising early and finishing fast. Earn 38 medals, each struck in metal, and keep a calendar of every morning.

BUILT FOR THE NIGHT BEFORE
Every evening, Lark confirms tomorrow's alarm is armed and tells you the bedtime that buys a full night's sleep. The home screen widget shows your streak and next alarm.

REAL ALARMS
Built on Apple's AlarmKit, Lark rings like the built-in Clock: through Silent mode, through Focus. A real alarm, not a notification pretending to be one.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No tracking. No ads. Alarms and missions run on this device and never need a network to ring. Camera frames are processed on-device, never stored or uploaded. Spoken missions use on-device speech recognition whenever your device supports it. You sign in with Apple or Google, and your bird, streaks, island and alarms back up to your account, so a new iPhone brings it all with you. Delete your account in Settings any time and your data goes with it.

FREE TO USE
Alarms, missions, your bird, the island and friends are free, with no subscription. Outfits, premium skies and building styles are optional one-time purchases, never needed to wake up.
