Every day you build, assign jobs and stockpile. Every night the dead come.

BUILD AN OUTPOST THAT LASTS
Twenty building types across Housing, Industry, Support and Defense, each with
three upgrade levels. Farms, lumber camps, quarries, workshops, clinics, depots,
walls, gates, spike traps, watchtowers, barracks, MG turrets, floodlights and
generators.

PEOPLE, NOT UNITS
Named survivors with traits, levels, health, hunger and morale. Ten jobs, and a
survivor can only work one if you have built somewhere for them to do it. They
get hungry. They get tired. They die, and everyone else feels it.

HOLD THE LINE
Shamblers, Runners, Brutes, Screamers and Spitters, arriving in bigger numbers
every night. Walls slow them down and force them to chew through. Guards need
ammo from a workshop or they fight with rifle butts. At night you can move every
guard with a rally point, drag the horde somewhere with an air horn, or throw a
firebomb into a crowd.

THE PRESSURE POINTS
Food first — everyone eats, constantly. Then ammo. Then guard posts, because you
can only field as many guards as you have posts for. A mismanaged outpost falls
around night six. A good one is still standing past night sixteen.

RESEARCH
Sixteen technologies on a prerequisite tree, paid for with skill points earned
each night you survive.

across the day, and a night you can actually see in. Runs offline. Nothing to
sign up for. Nothing sends your data anywhere.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS
Three one-time packs, bought once and yours: The Wastes (two more worlds),
Ironworks (four more blueprints) and Trials (four stacking challenge rules). The
base game never asks you for anything.
