„LEIPZIG GIESST – die Stadt ist unser Garten“ will zeigen, wo es Bäume gibt, die zusätzlich Gieß-Wasser brauchen. Die Aktion will auch Menschen zusammenbringen, die gemeinsam in Gruppen gießen möchten.

Die letzten Jahren waren unsere Stadtbäume in Leipzig einem enormen Trockenstress ausgesetzt. 2.000 Stadtbäume sind der Trockenheit 2019 zum Opfer gefallen.

Wir als Lösungsteam Baumfreundschaft der Stiftung Ecken Wecken haben uns im April 2020 zusammengefunden, um dem etwas entgegenzusetzen.

Diese App trägt alle relevanten Daten und Infos zum Gießen zusammen:
• Wo stehen Straßenbäume?
• Wie alt ist ein Baum?
• Wie viel Liter was hat ein Baum in den letzten 30 Tagen abbekommen (durch Regen und Gießungen)?

Sie erlaubt Dir zudem, die von Dir gegossene Menge an Wasser am jeweiligen Baum zu hinterlegen. So können alle anderen sehen, welche Bäume schon gegossen wurden bzw. wie viel Liter einem Baum noch fehlen, um die wöchentlich benötigte Mindestmenge zu erreichen.
