Lirum Wiki

Carry the world's largest encyclopedia in your pocket — and read it anywhere, even miles from the nearest signal.

Lirum Wiki turns your iPhone, iPad, and Mac into a complete, self-contained library. Import Wikipedia and OpenZIM archives from Files, iCloud Drive, network shares, or external drives, or download them straight from the built-in Kiwix catalog. Once stored, everything works offline: reading, search, bookmarks, PDF export, and even a private AI conversation about the article in front of you.

PRIVATE ON-DEVICE ARTICLE CHAT

Ask for a summary, the key facts, a simpler explanation, or a study guide. Answers are grounded in the very article on your screen, including its sections and infobox. On supported devices, choose Apple Foundation Models or a curated library of validated local models — Gemma, Llama, and more — including multimodal models that can discuss an attached image or voice note. Your questions, answers, and article text never leave the device.

ONE APP, EVERY SCREEN

Lirum Wiki is a native SwiftUI app, not a web wrapper. Reader tools fold into elegant sidebars on iPad and Mac, search stays within reach in any orientation, and your library, bookmarks, and themes feel at home on every device you own.

A note on big downloads: transfers on iPhone and iPad run in the foreground, and Lirum Wiki preserves resumable progress if the app is interrupted.

Lirum Wiki is an independent OpenZIM reader and is not affiliated with the Wikimedia Foundation or Kiwix. Wikipedia and related marks belong to the Wikimedia Foundation.
