Purpose:
▪ Local Social is a fusion of digital communication and physical connections.
• Social media has provided us with the ability to enhance communication, sustaining existing relationships, and create new friendships (Tan, 2018).
• However, it has removed the aspect of having direct, face-to-face interactions (Tan, 2018). This adverse effect of social media has made people more disconnected and detached.
• Local Social will bridge the gap by bringing people together physically through social media.▪ Personalized for you

Core Components:
▪ Admin access with sign-in option (for security), to show all the activities posted by users in detail, total users of the platform at the event, total activities, and the ability to approve and reject the posted posts.
▪ User access allows login and signup to see the events (now, coming, ongoing, expired) active current location, user can see the activities in the nearby area with a map overview and navigate to a location using google maps.


Main features:

The app’s main purpose is to provide a way for users to see nearby events in real-time. Users can join a live event by going there and “tapping in”.
▪ Hosts have the ability to create a “private” or “public” event and can invite friends via the link. Hosted events will include all necessary information (address, time, seats, etc).
▪ Users can post real-time photos and videos which allow others to see what’s happening at the event before joining making the decision to join. Participants will receive notifications when someone posts a photo/video or upload video content.
▪ The app will include bars, clubs, restaurants, and any other special events.
▪ In short, it’ll have all the basic features (without subscription and payment plans) which are required to make the app, the main purpose of the app is to show real-time events on the map with a customized area range to see what’s happening.
