LocalPeriod: Cycle Tracker

LocalPeriod is a period tracker that stays on your phone. There is no account to create, no sign up, no cloud sync and no analytics. You log the day your period starts, tag how you felt, and the app shows you when the next one is expected.

The app contains no network code at all. Your entries are written to your phone's own storage and stay there. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is shared with another app. There is no separate app lock, so your phone's own passcode is what guards the log.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Log the first day of your period, with today's date already filled in
- Tag an entry with cramps, headache, bloating, mood, fatigue, acne, tender breasts or back pain
- See your next period predicted, with the date and how many days away it is
- See your average cycle length, worked out from the gaps between the starts you logged
- Read back a full history of every start date, with your latest entry at the top
- Remove an entry, with a confirmation step so nothing disappears by accident
- Keep up to 500 entries in the log
- Open the privacy policy from inside the app

HOW THE PREDICTION WORKS
Your first entry uses a 28 day cycle. From the second entry on, the app measures the real gaps between the start dates you logged and averages them, so the prediction follows your own pattern instead of a fixed number. Log more cycles and the average keeps adjusting to you.

WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone who wants a plain record of their cycle and no account attached to it. It suits you if you have closed a tracker before because it asked for an email address, pushed a subscription, or offered to sync your body data to a server. It also suits anyone who just wants the date of the next period on screen in one glance.

PRIVACY
Your entries live in local storage on your phone and nowhere else. There is no sign in, no ad network, no analytics and no network request of any kind. Deleting the app deletes the entries with it.

BUILT FOR EVERYDAY USE
The screen follows your phone's light or dark setting, the whole app is one scrolling page, and it runs on iPhone and iPad.
