Lookup: Tonight's Sky

Tonight, look up. Lookup computes tonight's sky from your location and today's date, showing which constellations, planets and the Moon are up — fresh every night.

SKY SCORE FOR TONIGHT
Blends the Moon's phase and altitude, the length of full darkness and cloud cover into a 0-100 score for how good stargazing is tonight — plus the darkest "prime window."

LIVE SKY MAP
The sky right above you, right now. Stars, constellations, planets and the Moon in a fisheye projection — slide time to watch the sky turn.

POINT AT THE SKY (CAMERA + COMPASS)
Aim your phone at the sky and the names of constellations and planets in that direction overlay the real sky. Instantly answer "what's that bright star?"

OBSERVATION LOG & STAMPS
Tap a constellation, planet or meteor shower you've seen to log it — they collect like stamps. See how much sky you've met this month.

WORKS OFFLINE
Sun, Moon and planet positions are computed on-device, so it works without a connection. Only cloud data uses free weather data.
