Hear the time, clearly.
LoudChime announces the hour in English or Mandarin during the hours you choose. The interface and voice follow your system language by default, with a language choice in Settings. A simple layout and large clock make the essentials easy to find.
ENGLISH AND CHINESE
Use the English interface and voice, or Simplified Chinese and Mandarin. System Default selects the first supported language in your system preferences, with English as the fallback. Changing the language also updates scheduled chimes.
HEAR THE ACTUAL HOUR
At each selected hour, hear a specific announcement such as “It is three P.M.” English and Mandarin hourly recordings are included in the app and work offline. The default schedule runs from 08:00 through 22:00, including both endpoints: 15 chimes a day.
CHOOSE YOUR DAILY HOURS
Set a start and end hour, or enable All Day for all 24 hours. Overnight ranges are supported, such as 21:00 through 06:00 the next day. Tap Save Hours to apply your changes.
SPEAK THE TIME NOW
Tap Speak Now to hear the current hour and minute in your chosen language. Tap again during playback to stop.
PREVIEW AND TEST
Preview Voice plays a sample in your chosen language. Test Notification Sound schedules an actual local notification for about 10 seconds later. Return to the Home Screen or lock the device to check whether you can hear it with your current system settings.
SIMPLE AND PRIVATE
A large time display supports system text-size adjustments. No account or sign-in is required. Clock functions work offline. The app does not collect or upload personal data.
Hourly announcements use ordinary iOS local notifications, so the app does not need to stay open. Allow notifications and sounds. Delivery and audibility depend on iOS settings, including silent mode, Focus, Scheduled Summary, Ringtone and Alerts volume, and audio routing such as headphones. Foreground preview uses media volume and does not test notification volume. Exact timing or audible output is not guaranteed in every system state.
