Description by Richard Simmons(from the App Store)
Lucid is a binaural beats app for sleep, focus and calm, with precisely tuned audio instead of generic ambient loops.
Most "binaural beat" tracks are the same recycled sounds. Lucid plays verified left/right frequency differences, so each session is tuned to the state you're after: sleep, focus, relaxation or meditation.
Why people choose Lucid: • Verified binaural beats, tuned by frequency (0.5–40 Hz) • Isochronic tones for listening without headphones • AI-generated soundscapes tailored to your mood, time of day and goal • Curated sessions for Sleep, Focus, Relax and Meditate • Nature layers (rain, ocean, wind, forest night, stream, fireplace), pure tones and brown noise • Breathing visuals and subtle haptics to keep you present • A sleep timer that fades out gently, and background playback with the phone locked
Whether you're winding down for the night, studying without distractions or quieting a busy mind, Lucid gives you a sound built for the moment.
For sleep: Delta-range sessions (0.5–4 Hz) are designed for winding down at bedtime, when your thoughts won't slow down.
For focus: Beta and gamma-range sessions (14–40 Hz), including 40 Hz, are designed for concentration: studying, deep work and creative projects.
For calm: Alpha and theta-range sessions (4–14 Hz) are made for slowing down, whether it's a stressful afternoon or a restless night.
For meditation: Theta-range sessions (4–8 Hz) give your practice a steady, immersive backdrop, whether you're new to meditation or have practised for years.
How binaural beats work: When your left ear hears 200 Hz and your right ear hears 204 Hz, your brain perceives a 4 Hz "beat". This effect, the frequency following response, has been studied for decades, and research into it continues. Lucid makes it easy to try: every session plays the exact frequency difference it says it does.
Who it's for: • The entrepreneur who can't switch off at midnight • The student who needs to settle into focus • The parent looking for ten calm minutes • The athlete building a wind-down routine • Anyone who has tried meditation apps and wants something different
Lucid is for relaxation, sleep and focus. It isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose, treat or cure any condition.
