Pitch detection runs on the McLeod Pitch Method: a time-domain autocorrelation computed on Apple's Accelerate framework. Worst-case error of 1.1 cents across the full chromatic range, with no octave errors in testing. The engine locks onto the fundamental, never a harmonic, so the octave is right every time. Accurate enough to track in the studio and tune before a set.

Simple. Radically simple.
One screen. A large note name. An in-tune state that reads immediately, in colour and in shape, so it stays clear with colour vision simulated off. Nothing on screen the moment does not call for. A4 calibration and advanced options sit behind Settings, where they belong.
