The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) scheme was launched in May 2020 which targets bringing Blue Revolution through sustainable development of the aquaculture sector.
The Ministry for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying of the Government of India want the thrust to be given towards:

(c) Technology infusion
(d) Modernisation
(e) Establishing a robust fisheries management framework

The PMMSY will create a conducive environment for private sector participation, development of entrepreneurship, promotion of ease of doing business, innovations in the aquaculture sector.
