Maqam Oud

Learn the oud. Understand maqamat. Practice with purpose.

Maqam Oud is a complete learning and practice app built specifically for oud players, bringing musical knowledge and hands-on practice together in one experience designed around the instrument itself.

Whether you're beginning your journey with the oud or looking to improve your playing, Maqam Oud helps you understand maqamat, learn where notes are located on the oud neck, develop your finger technique, tune your instrument, and practice in a more structured and interactive way.

Practice Your Own Songs

Import the music score for your songs and practice them step by step with Song Practice. Break a song into phrases and measures, focus on the sections that need more work, and gradually build your way toward playing the complete piece.

Improve Your Pitch and Timing

Practice using your microphone and follow your pitch and timing while you play. Focused exercises help you build greater accuracy and control through consistent practice.

Explore the World of Maqamat

Discover a wide collection of maqamat and ajnas in a clear and organized way, and learn their notes and positions directly on the oud neck.

Develop Your Finger Technique

Practice with progressive finger exercises designed to improve movement, speed, accuracy, and control across the oud neck.

Tune Your Oud with Precision

Use the built-in oud tuner to tune your strings easily, with a precise tuning indicator and an adjustable reference frequency to match your preferred tuning.

Learn Through the Oud Itself

The interactive oud neck is at the heart of the experience, helping you connect each note with its actual position on the instrument instead of relying on theory alone.
