Match Spiral

Match Spiral is a puzzle game played on a tower that turns.

Drag across neighbouring pieces of the same kind to pull them off the tower and into your tray. Collect three of a kind and they burst. Clear the goals and the level is yours.

That is the whole game. It stops being simple about level twenty.

A TOWER, NOT A GRID
Every puzzle wraps around a rotating tower, either a smooth cylinder or a faceted one with five, six, seven or eight sides. The piece you need is always somewhere. It just might be around the back. Spin to find it, and watch the tower physically shrink as you clear it down.

SIX SLOTS, NO MORE
Your tray holds six. Every chain you pull goes in, and only a matching trio leaves. Fill all six with nothing to burst and the level is over. The pressure in this game is not a timer. It is the quiet arithmetic of what you can still afford to pick up.

And if the board ever genuinely locks, it reshuffles. You lose because you misplayed, never because the tower dealt you a dead end.

WHEN THE FLOOR DROPS OUT
No Gravity levels change the one rule you stopped thinking about. Normally a cleared piece is replaced from above and the tower refills itself. Here the holes stay open. What you take never comes back, the column thins out under your hands, and pieces you were saving for later end up stranded with nothing beside them. Every chain has to be worth the gap it leaves.

WHEN THE TOWER FLOODS
Flooding levels look almost won and then are not. Thin the board past a certain point and a fresh wave of pieces pours down the tower, refilling what you just spent several minutes clearing. Your tray is still six slots wide. Clearing fast is easy. Clearing fast while leaving yourself room for what is coming is the actual puzzle.

Ice sits somewhere between the two, locking pieces in place until enough matches nearby chip it away. Some levels put you on the clock as well.

THREE WORLDS, NINETY-NINE THINGS TO MATCH
Sort a kitchen full of fruit, veg, pizza and cold drinks. Empty a toybox of race cars, rubber ducks and plush animals. Then work through gems, coins and trophies. Ninety-nine different objects, each modelled in 3D, across more than a hundred hand-built levels.

SEVEN WAYS OUT OF TROUBLE
Freeze the timer. Vacuum up the pieces you are hunting for. Spring the last item back out of the tray, or empty the tray entirely with a Cleaner. Call in the Fan to reshuffle the tower in your favour. Or start a level already ahead, with a Rocket to blow a hole in the tower or an Extra Slot to make the tray seven.
