MD Weather Alerts

MD Weather Alerts is Maryland's weather app, made for Marylanders and powered by Marylanders. You get official National Weather Service alerts, live radar, and real reports from the people down the road. All of it covers every county, from Garrett to Worcester.

SAFETY FIRST, ALWAYS FREE
• Instant NWS warnings, watches and advisories for your county and the places you follow.
• "Why you got this" on every alert, so you know exactly why your phone buzzed.
• Quiet warnings: if you're outside the warned area, the alert won't wake you.
• Mute an alert for 24 hours, or check in "I'm safe" when severe weather hits.
• Every safety alert stays free for everyone, forever.

LIVE RADAR & THE WHOLE STATE, LAYER BY LAYER
• Smooth, fast radar with a timeline you can scrub.
• Layer on NWS alert areas, river and stream gauges, air quality, road incidents, lightning and power outages.
• Community reports right on the map. Tap one for the full detail.

REAL REPORTS FROM REAL MARYLANDERS
• See what the sky is actually doing near you, from people in your county.
• Post your sky, share a report, and help your neighbours stay ahead of the storm.
• Report hail, flooding, wind damage, washouts and more in a few taps.

MARYLAND CHAT
• One statewide room for all of Maryland.
• Replies, reactions, GIFs, and reports shared right into the conversation.
• Moderated and friendly, so it's built for weather talk, not noise.

SKYWATCH
• A daily reason to look up. Answer what the sky is doing where you are.
• Catch the clouds you see and collect them in the Skydex.
• Claim drops and stations on the Skywatch map, climb the ranks, and light up your county on the Maryland Grid.

MAKE IT YOURS
• The Theme Showroom: preview dozens of themes live before you choose.
• Earn points, badges and frames, and spend them in the Weather Store.
• Seasonal events throughout the year.

WIDGETS FOR EVERY HOME SCREEN
• Current conditions, alerts, the county map, road cameras, community reports and more.
• Widgets refresh on their own and update right after an alert.
