MealTime: Recipes & Planner

MealTime is a private, offline-first kitchen companion. Your recipes live on your device rather than in an account, and the app works with no connection at all.

PRIVATE AND OFFLINE FIRST
• Works fully offline; your own recipes never need a connection
• Recipes, categories and lists are stored on your device
• No account needed for the core app
• No analytics, no behaviour tracking, no profiles built from your cooking
• Optional iCloud backup, kept in your own iCloud

YOUR RECIPE COLLECTION
• Create, edit and organise recipes your way
• Import from a website link in one tap
• Add photos, notes, tags and per-step ingredients
• Cooking mode that reads steps aloud, hands-free
• Share as text, as a PDF, or as a MealTime file
• Favourites for the ones you cook again and again

OPTIONAL AI, WITH YOUR OWN KEY
• Bring your own API key: MealTime never charges for AI
• Google's free tier needs only a Google account, no card
• Turn a block of text, a photo or a link into a structured recipe
• Identify a dish from a photo, then get a recipe for it
• Ask what to cook from what you already have in
• Choose Google, DeepSeek or OpenAI, and switch whenever you like
• On free tiers, providers may use what you send to improve their models; paid keys are excluded

GROCERY LISTS
• Build a list from any recipe, choosing exactly what to add
• Tick items off with sound and haptics
• Share a list with family and watch it update in real time (needs a free account)
• A small celebration when the last item is ticked

MEAL PLANNING AND HISTORY
• Plan meals for the days ahead
• Log what you cooked, plus restaurant meals and takeaway
• See how often you cook at home versus eat out
• Find the recipes you return to most

BACKUP ON YOUR TERMS
• iCloud backup stays in your own cloud, including recipe photos
• Export and import whenever you want your data elsewhere

DESIGNED FOR YOU
• Light and dark themes
• Available in English and German
• No sign-up walls and no nagging

HOW MEALTIME IS PAID FOR
MealTime is free and shows ads. Ads are never based on your recipes or your cooking. Where the law requires it you are asked whether ads may be personalised, and you can change that answer at any time in Settings. Prefer a quiet kitchen for a while? Watch one short video and the app stays ad-free for three days, as often as you like.

Your kitchen, your recipes, your data.
