Meku Business

Meku Business is a business management platform. Sell, look after your stock and your staff, keep track of your money, manage multiple branches of your businesses, take bookings, pay your team and get your own website — all from one app, in English or Kiswahili.

It works for shops, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, guesthouses, salons, hardware stores, tour companies and more.

SELLING
• Tap or scan a barcode to sell
• Take cash, mobile money, card or credit
• Add your own tax rates and charge them per sale
• Send an invoice to be paid later
• Print or share a receipt
• Undo a wrong sale safely
• Name the person who served each sale

TABS — SERVE NOW, PAY LATER
• Open a tab under any label: a table number, a plate, a room, a site
• Add one round at a time, each showing exactly what was ordered
• Hand over a printed bill, then settle the whole tab into any account
• Keep your own count of the cash collected as people leave

STOCK AND PRODUCTS
• Your stock counts itself as you sell and buy
• Get a warning when something is running low
• Get a reminder before something expires
• Sell sizes, colours and other options
• Build a product from its ingredients, and selling it takes them off the shelf
• Add your whole product list at once from a spreadsheet, on the web

MONEY AND EXPENSES
• Write down every expense and snap a photo of the receipt
• Record which account each one was paid from
• Set your rent, salaries and other fixed costs once, and Meku records them every month
• Record what you buy from suppliers, and your stock goes up on its own
• Keep a list of your suppliers
• Group your spending your own way
• Count your cash, or check a bank or mobile-money balance against its statement

CREDIT, DEPOSITS AND DEBTS
• Sell on credit and let Meku remember who owes you
• Take a deposit and hold the goods until your customer finishes paying
• See how old each debt is
• Record a part payment or a full one
• Meku sends a friendly SMS reminder for you

BOOKINGS
• Take bookings by date for rooms, tours or appointments
• Never get double-booked
• Save your guest's details, then call or WhatsApp them

YOUR TEAM AND THEIR PAY
• Add your staff and choose what each one can see — person by person, not only by job title
• Keep an employment record for each one: salary, start date, photo and contact
• Run payroll every month, with a payslip for every person
• Sign in with Google
• Sign in with Apple
• Get an alert on your phone for every new order

NOTHING LEAVES UNTIL SOMEBODY SAYS SO
• A queue of what has been ordered and has not yet gone out
• Whoever hands the goods over confirms it, and it goes on the record
• Turn it on for tabs, online orders, lay-by collection or counter sales

REPORTS
• See your sales, your spending and your profit on one screen
• Choose any time period you like
• Find your best sellers
• Download the numbers for your accountant, on the web

SELL ONLINE
• Ask to be listed on the Meku marketplace, where customers browse shops near them
• Customers pay online and can have it delivered to their door
• Handle online orders next to your counter sales
• Ask us about a website on your own address, built from the products you already have

MORE THAN ONE SHOP
• Run all your businesses from one login
• Share one product list across the group, move stock between shops and see what the whole group is spending — on the web, where there is room for it

Meku is free to start. Paid plans are available inside the app.
