Mercies: Bible Devotional

Five quiet minutes with God, before the day gets loud.

No ads. No account. No feed to scroll. Open Mercies and today's verse is already there, full screen, over artwork made for still mornings — with the prayer written for it, one question to sit with, and a private place to write.

His mercies are new every morning. So is this — whatever you carry into today.

FIVE QUIET MINUTES WITH GOD
• Today's verse, and the affirmation that stands on it
• A prayer written for that verse, a new one every day of the year
• One question to sit with, and a private place to write
• A blessing to carry into your day

MADE FOR YOUR SEASON
Tell Mercies your name and what you're carrying — anxiety, comparison, waiting, heartbreak, loneliness, burnout, grief, direction, motherhood or gratitude — and each morning is chosen for you. Each season has a seven-day plan written for it, with a short reading every day, and the plan for yours is free.

RELEASE TO GOD
Write down what you’re carrying, then let it go. Your words drift away and are never saved; only a private count of what you’ve handed over stays on your phone.

MOVING, QUIETLY
Today's backgrounds move: mist over the hills, light on the water, falling snow. Add a calming sound while you pray: a warm pad, rain, the sea or a harp. Still Waters and Stillness are free.

SEASONS OF THE CHURCH YEAR
Walk through Advent and Lent one day at a time, with a reading written for each day and a calendar that keeps your place. Free for everyone.

SCRIPTURE THROUGH YOUR DAY
• Every reminder carries a verse or today's prayer, never just "open the app"
• A morning reminder, and up to six more verses in the hours you choose
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, free for everyone

KEEP WHAT MATTERS
• Save the affirmations you want to return to
• Write declarations in your own words, and see one on Today each morning
• Make any card your Lock Screen wallpaper, or send a verse to a friend
• Find a verse for whatever you're facing, and listen to any card read aloud
• A private journal that never leaves your phone
• All 365 affirmations by theme, free
• Your days with God on a calendar, with three free grace days every month and backgrounds to keep along the way

NO ADS, EVER
Most apps in this category are paid for by advertising. This one isn't, and never will be. Your morning is not an advertising slot.

YOURS, AND PRIVATE
There is no account and no sign-up. Your journal is written to your phone and stays there. We cannot read it, because we never receive it.

MERCIES PRO
Go deeper when you're ready. Pro adds every devotional plan, all nine backgrounds in motion and your own photos, every calming sound, Home Screen widget styles including your Today art, as many of your own words as you like, unlimited prayer requests you can mark answered, and journal search and export.
