Messy Mahjong

Messy Mahjong is American mah jongg without the walls. All 152 tiles are tossed face down onto the mat, you pick your own, and you draw by tapping any face-down tile. Learn the game, practise against computer players, or pull up a chair with friends.

Never played? Seven short lessons take you from the tiles to the Charleston, and a coach walks you through a practice game, pointing out your closest hands as you go. Know the game? Jump straight in against Easy, Medium or Hard computer players, or start an online table and send the code to friends.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

- Learn: seven short lessons on the tiles, reading the card, the Charleston and the messy table
- Play the computer at three levels, from relaxed to sharp, even in airplane mode
- Find a game online, or start a table and share a six-character code. Empty seats are filled with computer players
- Play in the same room with no internet: one phone hosts, friends join over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
- Add friends, see who is online and invite them to your table (sign in with Apple to use friends)
- Chat with your table, with a chat filter and the option to mute or report any player
- Keep playing if you drop out: a computer holds your seat until you rejoin
