Meter Readings: Zählerstand

Log your meter readings in seconds – with the camera or by hand – and see your usage straight away: for electricity, gas, water, district heating, heating oil and heat cost allocators. No ads. Usable without an account – your readings then stay on your device only.

USE WITH A SUBSCRIPTION

Setting up and your first reading are free. After that you read your meters with Zählerstand Pro: you can try the annual plan free for one month, and if you like, we remind you two days before the trial ends – until then you can cancel free of charge in the App Store. The monthly plan also comes with a 7-day free trial. The App Store shows the price before purchase.
Without a subscription your meters and readings stay readable; CSV export, backup and deletion stay free. If you already use Zählerstand, you keep your free features: up to three meters with unlimited readings.

WHAT ZÄHLERSTAND DOES

• Read your meter with the camera: recognised on your device, you confirm – the photo is not stored
• After every reading: measured usage, daily usage and a comparison with the previous period
• Monthly projection with costs – clearly marked as an estimate
• Billing radar: expected amount to pay or credit, with a range, how it is calculated and a suggested monthly payment
• Comparisons: this year against last year, reading periods and your own periods
• History: usage per month for every meter
• Unlimited meters and properties
• Reminders: automatically on your usual reading day, once on a date you choose, or your own repeating ones – with a nudge after three days if a reading is still missing
• “Next reading” widget for your Home and Lock Screen
• Report per meter as PDF, CSV export and CSV import – in English and German
• Gas in kWh from the calorific value and correction factor on your bill
• Spot unusual usage
• Meter code (QR) to stick on: a scan opens the right meter
• Meter replacement and rollover: usage continues without a jump
• 14 currencies and a bin that keeps deleted meters for 30 days
• Send your reading to your supplier: share it as text
• Backup and restore as a file
• Optional account with Apple or Google: end-to-end encrypted backup and sync across your devices – only your devices can read it
• Light and dark, English and German

FOR LANDLORDS

• Handover when tenants change: read all meters of an apartment on one day, with a handover record to sign as a PDF
• Usage per apartment: opening and closing readings with dates for each meter, for last year, this year or your own period – as a PDF and a spreadsheet (CSV)

IMPORTANT

Readings and calculated differences are based on your entries. Costs, radar and projections are non-binding estimates. Only your supplier’s bill is authoritative.
