You say “just five minutes,” then an hour disappears. You meant to study—and the feed wins again. MicroPause doesn’t hard-block your apps. It inserts a brief pause before easy-to-overuse apps open, then guides a small positive task so you interrupt the impulse and choose on purpose.
【Who it’s for】
• Cutting mindless short-video and feed scrolling
• Steadier focus for exams, classes, and homework
• Building self-discipline with a short pause + small action—not a hard ban
【How it works】
1. Allow Screen Time access
2. Create a rule: pick short-video, entertainment, or other target apps / categories
3. Choose a micro-task: reading, breathing, distant gaze, custom (e.g. stand and drink water), or open a study substitute app
4. When you open a target app again, you hit the pause screen first—finish the task, then decide whether to continue
【Key features】
• Pause before open: shield selected apps / categories
• Micro-tasks: reading, breathing, gaze rest, custom text, substitute-app timer
• Unlock window: set temporary access after completion; limits return when it ends
• Optional skip: per-rule control over skipping tasks
• Today at a glance: intercepts, completed tasks, time saved
• Stats & trends: see scroll and completion habits (advanced in Pro)
• AI habit tips: actionable self-discipline suggestions from your patterns (Pro)
【Study tip】
Start with one rule—the short-video app you open most. Keep tasks short (30–60s) for higher completion. Don’t set unlock windows too long, or “temporary access” turns into another binge. Point the substitute action to notes, reading, or a study app so the pause leads back to focus.
【Free & Pro】
Free: 1 rule—enough to rein in your biggest time sink.
MicroPause Pro (one-time unlock): unlimited rules, advanced stats & trends, AI habit tips.
【Note】
MicroPause uses Apple’s Screen Time capabilities; rules take effect after authorization. It won’t force-open other apps after you finish—continuing is always your choice.
Pause first. Then study. Make every open an intentional choice.
