Mushroom Hunter & Forager GPS

Every forager knows the feeling: you found a spectacular chanterelle cluster last September, and now you cannot quite place where it was. Mushroom Hunter & Forager was built for that moment, and every return visit after it.

MUSHROOM IDENTIFIER
Point your camera at any unfamiliar mushroom and receive ranked match results with confidence scores. The built-in AI identifier covers 2000+ mushroom species and runs entirely on-device - your location and photos never leave your phone. When you need deeper certainty, the optional Premium AI Analyzer draws on a server-side database of nearly 3,000 species with even higher accuracy. Before you pick, know whether your find is edible, poisonous, or best left alone. Identification results flow directly into your find log.

GPS SPOT LOGGING
Drop a GPS pin the instant you find a productive spot. Attach a photo, log the species and quantity, note the weather and terrain, and build a field record that compounds with every outing. When the season turns, the app sends a reminder based on your own productive history, not a generic calendar.

OFFLINE NAVIGATION
Navigate back with confidence. Offline maps work under dense canopy where cell service disappears. Download your hunting area before you leave home. Follow your planned route, navigate directly to a saved pin, and track your own position in real time - all without mobile data.

MUSHROOM LIBRARY
Browse the built-in free library of edible and poisonous fungi. Learn the key identifiers - cap shape, gill structure, spore print, fruiting season, and habitat - before you head into the field. Available offline, no subscription needed.

FIELD SAFETY
Knowing what not to pick matters as much as knowing what to pick. Identification results surface edibility information prominently and flag poisonous lookalikes so you can compare side by side before making any decision.

COLLECTIONS AND SEASONS
Group spots and finds into Collections by species, region, or year. Auto-suggested Collections surface patterns in your own data you might otherwise miss. When chanterelle or morel season peaks, your history tells you which spots to hit first.

PRIVACY FIRST
No account required. No ad networks with access to your spot locations. Everything stays on your device. Export and back up your data at any time, on your own terms.

HUNT WITH FRIENDS
See each other's real-time location and navigate toward each other when the group spreads out. Share a spot or find with one tap. The built-in secure messenger keeps your mushroom talk and foraging plans private from third parties.

WHO IT IS FOR
Mushroom Hunter & Forager is for the amateur and enthusiast who returns to the same woods year after year — hunting chanterelles, morels, porcini, hen-of-the-woods, oyster mushrooms, and boletes - and wants a free, foraging-first tool that grows with their experience.
