Nightfall brings white noise, environmental sleep sounds and meditation to Apple TV. Choose rain, waves, a stream, fireplace or colored noise, with real filmed nature visuals. No account, no ads. Every feature and media download is free.

SOUND AND PICTURE, TOGETHER
Choose from 15 sounds: white, pink and brown noise and real nature recordings. Eleven sounds work offline immediately; four more lossless recordings are optional free downloads. Selecting a sound starts audio with a picture by default. Recordings and footage are separate assets you can pair yourself.

Controls appear when playback starts and hide after 10 seconds. Select brings them back; directional buttons also reveal them when the picture is on. A discreet sound title remains when controls hide. Play/Pause controls sound and picture together. Back first hides controls, then returns to the app. Stop sound or Exit ends the session.

PICTURE OFF, AUDIO CONTINUES
Turn the picture off during playback to keep your sound and timer with a black picture. No clock, text or focus outline is shown. Select reveals controls and lets you restore the picture. Nightfall cannot switch off your TV backlight or control another player.

GUIDED BREATHING
Follow a growing and settling circle in a 5, 10 or 20 minute practice. Choose a rhythm of 4 seconds in and 6 out, or 4 in and 4 out, alongside a soundscape. Pause and resume whenever you choose; pausing also pauses the practice timer and audio.

Optional system voice cues say when to breathe in and out, even with the picture off. Availability depends on voices provided by your device. These are brief rhythm cues, not a recorded meditation course. No microphone access or voice recording. Self-led 10/20 minute stream sessions, 30 minute rain and 60 minute brown-noise presets are also included.

YOUR MIX, YOUR BEDTIME ROUTINE
Blend up to three layers with relative levels. Save the mix, background, brightness and timers as a personal routine. Ordinary sleep timers offer 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes and run in real time, fading our audio over the final 30 seconds. An independent picture timer hides the image while sound continues.

DOWNLOAD WHAT YOU WANT
Fourteen real filmed backgrounds include ten built-in assets and four optional 4K downloads. Listening needs no extra video download. Optional items show specifications, size, creator and license, with progress, cancel, retry and remove controls. Downloads work offline; tvOS may clear caches and downloading again is free.
