Nighthawk Tube: Binaural

Nighthawk Tube is a stereo oscillator meditation instrument.

One purchase, forever. No subscription, no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking — nothing leaves your device but the purchase itself.

Two audio oscillators — one in each ear — meet inside a glowing vacuum tube rendered entirely in particles. Their waveforms pour across the glass floor, sum into a slowly rotating interference drum, and trace a live Lissajous figure in phosphor blue-green. What you see is exactly what you hear: the beat between the two tones embosses the drum, the figure turns with their phase, and a meditation figure deep in the tube shows which chakras the current frequencies traditionally touch.

TUNE — one base frequency, a balance knob to mix the pair, and a BEAT knob that dials the difference tone directly, from a half-hertz shimmer to a 120 Hz snarl. The readout shows the beat and the brainwave band it would entrain: delta, theta, alpha, beta, gamma.

WAVES — morph each side independently from sine through triangle and saw to pulse; the dials wear their waveforms and colors.

BEAM — place the pair in the stereo field: SPLIT sends one tone to each ear, FUSE sums both into both ears so the beat pulses even on speakers, and ORBIT circles between the two in phase with the rotating scope — at a slow drift, or paced at six breaths a minute.

PRESETS — dial a brainwave band, the diatonic chakra scale, or the Cousto planetary tones. Every preset declares its chakra and cites where its numbers came from.

TIMER — set a 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minute session; the sound fades to silence when time is up.

The free version plays 5-minute demo sessions, a few times a day. A single purchase unlocks Pro — the full session timer and the preset library, forever.

Headphones recommended.
