NomCal is a calorie and macro tracker built around one idea: if logging is slow, you stop doing it. So there are four ways in, and you pick whichever is fastest right now.
**Speak it.** Say "two scrambled eggs, a slice of sourdough and a flat white" and NomCal works out the calories, protein, carbs and fat. Correct anything it got wrong before you save.
**Scan it.** Point the camera at a barcode and the product comes straight up, with full nutrition. Scanned products are cached, so repeat scans work even without a signal.
**Search it.** Generic foods and branded products, with real serving sizes and unit switching — grams to ounces, millilitres to cups or tablespoons.
**Or just punch it in.** Quick Add takes calories and macros directly, with a built-in calculator that checks the numbers add up.
**BUILT FOR REAL DAYS**
• Your usual meals, one tap away — NomCal learns the breakfasts and lunches you repeat and offers them back
• Recipes with per-serving macros, so a batch of curry gets logged once and reused all week
• Backdate anything: forgot yesterday? Swipe to the day and log it
• Fibre, sugar and sodium alongside the big three — free, not a paid tier
• A health score on every food, so you can see quality, not just quantity
**APPLE HEALTH, BOTH WAYS**
Everything you log is written to Apple Health. Steps and active energy come back the other way, so your diary shows what you actually have left after moving. This is free and always will be — no calorie tracker should charge you for your own health data.
**SEE THE TREND, NOT THE DAY**
Weight over weeks and months against your target, steps by day or by month, and a home screen widget with your calorie ring so you can check without opening anything.
**GOALS THAT FIT YOU**
Tell NomCal your height, weight, age and how active you are, and it works out daily calorie and macro targets — or set your own and it stays out of the way.
**PRIVACY**
No ads. No data sold, ever. Your diary syncs privately to your account and nowhere else. Delete your account and everything on our servers goes with it — two taps from Settings, no email to support required.
**NOMCAL PREMIUM**
Voice logging and your usual-meal suggestions are Premium. Everything else — barcode scanning, food search, recipes, Apple Health, micronutrients, the widget — is free, with no entry limits. New users get 3 free voice logs a month to try it properly.
• Monthly — $4.99/month
• Annual — $34.99/year, with a 7-day free trial
