In tennis, "not up" is the call when you don't get to the ball in time. not up is a tennis journaling app that helps you track your sessions, focus on the parts of your game you want to improve, and keep records of your gear — so you show up sharper every time.

CALENDAR-FIRST LOGGING
The calendar is the home of the app. Tap any day to add a session, and see at a glance which days you played. Log three kinds of sessions:

- Match — opponent, score, result, surface, and duration
- Practice — hitting partners, drills, and duration
- Lesson — coach, the focus of the lesson, and duration

Every session supports free-form notes and a quick 1–5 rating for how it felt, so your history becomes something you'll actually want to look back on.

FOCUS ON WHAT YOU'RE IMPROVING
Tennis gets better when practice is deliberate. Keep a list of focus areas — forehand, backhand, serve, volley, footwork, return, drop shot — and mark what you're working on right now. Tag your sessions with the focus areas they addressed, and over time see how much attention each part of your game is really getting.

TRACK YOUR RACQUETS AND STRINGS
Your gear, remembered properly. Keep a list of your racquets with brand, model, head size, weight, and grip size. Then log each stringing job on its own — string brand and model (including hybrid setups), tension for mains and crosses, the date it went in, and notes on how it played and when it broke. Finally you can answer the questions that matter: what tension did I like on this racquet, and how long do my strings usually last?
