You need a NxtSound server to use this app. The server is free and open source (MIT licence). Setup takes a few minutes with Docker; the guide is linked below.
WHAT THE APP DOES • Plays your own music files: search, artists, albums, playlists, lyrics, a queue you can rearrange and radio from any song • Keeps playing with the screen locked, with controls on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island • Remote control: steer the player of another device on your account, for example from your phone while the Mac plays • Offline songs: choose how many of your last and most played songs stay on the phone, and pick individual songs yourself • A home page you arrange yourself, with mixes made from your own listening history • Several people on one server, each with their own history, playlists and recommendations • English and German
PRIVATE BY DESIGN The app talks only to the server address you enter. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your login and your songs stay between your phone and your own server.
