Old Greg's Tavern

Finally play tabletop RPGs whenever you feel like it — solo or with friends.

Old Greg's Tavern is a text-based RPG where you create characters, explore living worlds, and play Dungeon RPG-style campaigns without needing a Game Master. Start an adventure in seconds, or invite up to 5 friends who play completely free.

BE ANYONE. DO ANYTHING.
Rob an innkeeper. Seduce a dragon. Die horribly. Try it all again. Create characters with custom appearances, classes, backstories, and stats. There are no wrong answers — only consequences.

DONE WAITING TWO WEEKS BETWEEN SESSIONS?
It's 11 p.m. on a Tuesday and you suddenly want to play. Open the app and start. No waiting, no scheduling, no excuses. The tavern door's always open — 24/7. Play for 20 minutes on a lunch break or 4 hours on a Friday night.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS INSTANTLY
Send one link. They click and they're standing next to you in the tavern. Up to 6 players per campaign, and your friends never pay a cent. Distance and time zones no longer matter.

YOUR LEGEND LIVES FOREVER
NPCs remember you. Your reputation follows you everywhere. Swing back in a month, a year — the story's waiting. Maps expand as you explore. Stories branch with every decision you make.

THOUSANDS OF WORLDS TO EXPLORE
Browse community-created worlds or build your own from scratch. Set the theme — dark fantasy, sci-fi, horror, anything — and the world fills in the lore, geography, factions, and characters. Publish your world for others to discover.
