OldCat

OldCat is the class companion for international students: live captions and translation of your professor's words, highlights during class, notes after it and Vocab review, with a pixel cat by your side.

LIVE TRANSLATION
• Your professor's words appear line by line, in the original and in your language
• Classes in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, German, Spanish and more, even when the professor switches languages
• Picks up your course's terms from this class and your Vocab; maths shows as symbols, like μ and x²
• Scroll back without being pulled down; tap "Jump to latest" to follow again
• Pause for the break and carry on with the same class

AI HIGHLIGHTS AND ASK AI
• Live Summary, Key Terms, Help Me Answer and Exam Focus, kept up to date as the class goes on
• Called on? Ask AI gives you a line you can say right away (Pro: 10 Quick Answers per class; Ultra: unlimited)
• Deep Think (Ultra): a larger model, more thorough

NOTES AFTER CLASS
• Notes as soon as class ends, checked against the transcript, with dates like exams picked out
• Dates heard in class wait for your OK before going into Coming up and your calendar
• A notification when they're ready
• Mind Map (Pro): one for every class, drawn for you
• Share notes, mind maps, Deep Dives and handwritten notes with classmates; they can save them to their own classes (recordings are never shared)

DEEP DIVE (ULTRA)
• Teaches the class again after it ends: the reasoning step by step, your teacher's examples, term cards and questions to think about
• Every card leads back to what the teacher said

FILE ANALYSIS (ULTRA)
• Turn slides and readings into notes

VOCAB
• New terms from class go into your Vocab, with reviews spaced by how well you remember them
• Spelling practice: get words right to earn Fish Treats

ON IPAD
• Bring in your slides and write on them with Apple Pencil
• Captions float over your slides: move them, resize them, set the color; fold the bars away
• Handwritten notes on Lined Paper, Dot Grid, Grid Paper or Blank Paper, all A4; add pages and zoom in to write
• Export slides and handwritten notes as PPT or JPG

ONE ACCOUNT ON IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC
• Your cat, its room, Fish Treats, achievements, Timetable and Vocab stay in sync

YOUR PIXEL CAT
• Name it, dress it up, decorate its room and play with toys
• Check in and spell words to earn Fish Treats; the Achievement Wall keeps track of how far you've come
