On Air: Your Playlist Host

Turn your Apple Music playlists into a hosted radio show.

On Air plays a short, voiced introduction before each song, sharing stories, facts, and context about the track or artist. Choose your host, press play, and hear your playlists with more personality — on iPhone or through CarPlay.

YOUR PLAYLIST. YOUR HOST.

• Voiced song introductions — hear a quick story or piece of context before the music starts
• Four distinctive host personas — choose from The Archivist, The Hype, The Chill Room, and Genre Fluid - male/female variants for each.
• Stories behind the music — discover release history, artist details, and memorable facts about the songs you play
• Your Apple Music library — browse and play the playlists you already know
• CarPlay ready — enjoy hosted playlists through your car's audio system
• Background playback — keep listening while using other apps or locking your phone
• Replay favorite intros — hear an introduction again whenever you like
• Suggestions and badges — contribute song facts and unlock achievements as you listen

HOW IT WORKS

1. Allow access to Apple Music.
2. Choose a host and playlist.
3. Start listening.

While one song plays, On Air prepares a short introduction for the next one, creating the feel of a personalized radio show without replacing your music service.

An active Apple Music subscription is required. On Air uses MusicKit to play music from your existing library and playlists.
