openPadel – Tennis & Padel Scoring System

Never again pen and paper: openPadel is your digital scoreboard for all padel matches – whether on court with a Raspberry Pi or simply offline with friends.

Real-Time Scoreboard (Online Mode)

Connect instantly by scanning a QR code to an openPadel server on court. The app displays the current match score in real time – points, games, sets, serve indicator, and tiebreak status – right on your iPhone. Saved courts are automatically recognized, so you're connected immediately on your next visit.

Full Offline Mode
Not a tech enthusiast? Just want to play? No problem! In offline mode, your iPhone acts as the scoreboard itself. Assign points with a button press or intuitive swipe controls (swipe up/down for points, sideways for undo). The complete match history is saved automatically.

Game Modes – Your Rules

Choose from several preconfigured game modes:
• With advantage + tiebreak (classic padel)
• No advantage / Golden Point
• Short sets
• Best of 1, 3, or 5 sets
• Create custom game modes and sync with the server, or use them offline

Statistics & Match History

Keep track of all matches played. Offline matches are saved locally, while online matches are loaded directly from the server and synced. View wins, losses, set results, and match duration at a glance.

Apple Watch Integration

Control the scoreboard directly from your wrist. The Apple Watch app displays the current score and lets you assign points without taking your iPhone out of your pocket.

Multilingual
The app is available in German, English (GB), and Spanish.

openPadel is an open-source project. The source code and instructions on how to build your own server can be found on GitHub. Just follow the support URL.
