PALAYSCAN

PALAYSCAN is a mobile application designed to support rice farmers, agricultural students, aspiring farmers, and other users involved in rice production.

With PALAYSCAN, users can:

• Scan rice crop images using the camera or photo library to receive possible pest or disease identification results, similarity information, and available management guidance.

• Explore the built-in Guide containing information on 15 rice varieties, 15 pests, and 15 diseases, including descriptions, signs, and management practices.

• Create and manage crop calendars using the Planner for Transplanting or Direct Seeding methods.

• Receive reminders for upcoming field activities such as fertilization, weeding, water management, and other scheduled tasks.

• Save scan records and crop calendars for later reference.

• Switch between English and Filipino.

PALAYSCAN does not require users to create an account or sign in. The Guide and saved local information can be accessed directly on the device, while online crop scanning requires an internet connection.

PALAYSCAN is intended as a support and reference tool. Identification results and recommendations should be used together with appropriate field observation and professional agricultural advice when necessary.
