Description by Lucky Parrot(from the App Store)
Self-guided audio tours for European cities. Researched, narrated, yours after one payment, including the cities other apps don't cover.
HOW PARROO IS DIFFERENT
Researched, then written, then verified. Every place gets a short summary, a ~700-word article, and a ~3-minute audio. We research from sources in the local language and English, log every source, write the article, verify it against those sources, then re-write it from a guide-next-to-you perspective for the audio narration. Premium voice production, not single-pass TTS. At the end of every article: a Further Reading button with curated external links. We don't pretend to be your only source.
Pay once. No subscription. City €4.99 / Region €14.99 / Country €34.99 / Worldwide €49.99. One-time purchases: buy once, keep it. When we add new places to an area you own, you get them automatically.
The cities other apps skip. Today: 6,900+ places in 260+ cities across Germany and France, including Würzburg, Lübeck, Eisenach, Aachen, Grasse, Bonifacio, Wittenberg, alongside Berlin, Paris, Marseille. The catalog grows over time.
READ OR LISTEN: YOUR CALL IN THE MOMENT
Three content depths per place: short summary (always free), ~700-word article, ~3-minute audio. Same researched pipeline behind both the article and the audio. Quiet evening? Read. Noisy crowd or hands-on-the-stroller? Listen.
WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE
- A short summary on every place. - Full content for your first 5 places, anywhere in the catalog. - A free preview place with the complete experience.
WHAT PARROO ISN'T
- Not a tour. No schedule, no group, no tipping. - Not a subscription. No recurring charge, no trial trap. - Not Wikipedia-recitation. Researched, written, verified, and audio that's been re-written for listening, not the article read aloud. - Not "every city". We cover what we've actually researched, including the European places other apps skip.
