Penmark: Grade with Pencil

Penmark is a grading app for teachers and professors who'd rather mark up papers
with an Apple Pencil than fight a clunky web tool. Import a stack of student PDFs,
annotate each one by hand, attach a rubric that adds up the score for you, and
export the graded papers — everything on your iPad, nothing in the cloud.

GRADE THE WAY YOU ALREADY DO
• Import a whole class set of PDFs at once.
• Mark them up with Apple Pencil — ink, highlight, and notes, just like paper.
• Flip through pages; your marks are saved automatically.

RUBRICS THAT TALLY THEMSELVES
• Build a reusable rubric once and attach it to an assignment.
• Tap to award points per criterion; Penmark sums the score and letter grade.
• A lightweight gradebook shows every student and the class average.

REUSABLE COMMENTS
• Keep a bank of the feedback you write again and again, and copy any note with a tap.

RETURN WORK ANYWHERE — NO LOCK-IN
• Export a flattened graded PDF to send back or upload to any LMS.
• Export grades as a CSV for your gradebook.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up, no cloud, no tracking. Student work never leaves your
device. Nothing collected, ever.
