PermitPass App

PermitPass turns your TxDOT OS/OW permit into easy, in-cab guidance along the exact TxPROS permitted corridor. Import the permit PDF or scan its QR code, and the official routed path loads in seconds. Review everything before you roll, then start navigation right at the permit route start and stay on the legal corridor.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Load your permit by QR code or PDF in seconds
• Follow the exact TxPROS route TxDOT issued for your load
• Review the full route first: map, waypoints, distances, and permit details
• Keep your hands on the wheel while maneuvers advance automatically as you drive the permitted route
• See live distance to your next maneuver and how much of the trip is left
• Open the full maneuver list at any time
• See advisories along your route, including clearance heads-ups, DriveTexas road events, and weigh-station locations
• Start at the permit start: PermitPass guides the permitted route once you're loaded and ready
• Find pilot car operators across Texas using the Pilot Car Directory
• Search by city or area, browse Map or List view, and contact operators directly
• Pilot car operators can create and manage their own directory listing
• Run it on iPhone or iPad, with layouts built for portrait and landscape
• Clean, high-contrast display that's easy to read in the cab, day or night

BUILT ON ONE PRINCIPLE

The official permit is the authority. PermitPass doesn't invent routes or send you off the permitted path. It makes the route TxDOT already issued simple to follow.

WHO IT'S FOR
Owner-operators, heavy-haul, escort and pilot-car operators, and dispatchers moving oversize/overweight loads in Texas.

IMPORTANT

The official TxDOT permit remains the legal authority. PermitPass assists you, but it does not replace the permit. You are responsible for driving safely and following all laws and the terms of your permit.
