PERT Pilot is designed to help you manage living with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI or PEI) and more easily deal with your pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT).

PERT Pilot helps you log the enzymes that you are taking along with a typical meal, how many pills you take for it, and whether this dosing seems to work for you or not. You can also choose to record symptoms for each meal or snack, and come back and edit these at any time. You can turn on a reminder to help you remember to take your enzymes throughout your meal, if you typically split your dosing across your meal.

With the meals that you log, PERT Pilot can reflect the relationship between how much PERT you have been taking and what you are eating, supporting you as you fine-tune your enzyme intake. PERT Pilot also enables you to share what's working - and what might not be working - with your healthcare provider. You can record your symptoms using the EPI/PEI-SS, a symptom survey tool designed for people with EPI by people with EPI, to track the frequency and severity of your symptoms and how they change over time.

LOG YOUR PERT


Enter meals and your enzyme dosing, saving it to review later. Once you have several meals saved, you can consider your next meal in context of your history of saved meals.


GET A REMINDER


With every meal, you can turn on a reminder that helps you remember how long it has been since you logged your meal. If you have a hard time remembering to take your enzymes or get distracted, this might help. It turns from green to orange after 15 minutes and to red after 20 minutes since the meal was logged. You can clear this at any time by swiping it and hitting clear on your lock screen.

Pick from the most commonly used PERT options, or use the "Custom Enzyme" to input your own enzyme, whether it's a different country version or an over-the-counter option.


AI MEAL ESTIMATION

Not sure of the counts for your meal? Use the new AI estimation feature to generate an estimate for the meal. You will get to edit or confirm it's estimates before using them!


EDIT A MEAL/OUTCOME


Wake up the next day and realize a meal didn't quite work with the dosing you took? You can easily edit a meal at any time. Swipe on a meal in the previous meals section to edit it, repeat it, or delete it. You can add or update what symptoms you had after the fact.


REVIEW YOUR DOSING


PERT Pilot enables you to review all of the data you entered, including displaying a graph to help visualize the meals that you say worked for you, and those where you were unsure if the dosing worked and those you decided didn't work for you. Once you have several meals logged, you'll also be able to see each meal in context of your history every time you're entering a new meal.


EXPORT YOUR DATA


Your data is your data, period. No one has access to your dosing data or outcome data, and nothing you enter into PERT Pilot leaves your device - unless you decide to export your data. You can share an HTML file with yourself so you can further evaluate your data or consider sharing it with your healthcare provider.


TRACK SYMPTOMS OVER TIME

There's an option to use the EPI/PEI-SS, a symptom survey tool to assess the frequency and severity of 15 common EPI-related symptoms and to see how this may change over time as you adjust your enzyme dosing. You can choose whether or not you want to contribute the symptom data you record for research to help validate the EPI/PEI-SS (no identifying information is collected, regardless). You can export your data as PDF or CSV.
