Pica: Nonograms

Every puzzle solvable by logic alone.

Most nonogram apps will, sooner or later, hand you a board that cannot be finished without a guess. Pica will not. Every puzzle is put through a solver that uses only deduction, and a second, independent counter that confirms there is exactly one answer. Anything that fails either check does not ship.

From a 5 × 5 you can finish on a bus to a 25 × 25 that will take an evening. Rated by the reasoning they need, not by how big they are — a large board with obvious runs is Gentle; a small one that needs you to hold two lines in your head at once is Brutal.

A board that behaves.
Drag to fill a run, and the first cell you touch decides whether you are filling or clearing — no flip-flopping halfway along. The gesture locks to a row or column once you have committed to a direction. A magnifier sits above your finger so your thumb never hides the cell you are aiming at. A whole drag is one undo, not thirty.

Big boards, readable.
The row and column under your finger are read out large above the board, and the biggest puzzles open zoomed with a small map in the corner. Nobody should meet a 25 × 25 as two hundred tiny numbers.

Assist, or Purist.
Assist flags a wrong cell the moment you place it, three times. Purist checks nothing at all and lets you find your own mistakes. Switch per puzzle.
