FLEXIBLE GAME MODES & SETUPS:

Whether you want to track a casual rec game or a highly competitive match, we’ve got you covered.
- Auto-Scoring: Scan at least one Play Companion Button per team to enable automatic scoring. Sync your account using a personal button, a dropdown selection, or a Personal Tag (compatible with standard NTAG213 chips and paddles with built-in butt-cap chips!).
- Manual Scoring: No buttons on hand? No problem. The app defaults to manual scoring.


HARDWARE & PERFORMANCE TIPS:

The Play Companion Button boasts incredible range that easily covers a full court. For the absolute best performance:
Place your phone near the net post at a slight angle (avoid laying it flat on the ground or directly against metal).
If your phone speaker isn't loud enough for a windy day, connect any standard external Bluetooth speaker.
The Companion Button runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery that lasts up to 1 year (based on 10 games/day).


PRICING:

The Pickleball Companion app is free, and all screens are available to all users. To use automatic scorekeeping, simply request a physical Play Companion Button (one time activation fee applies). There are zero ongoing monthly subscriptions — just a simple, transparent pay-for-service fee that grants you 30 days of hardware button access whenever you want to play. Once a cycle ends, you are never charged again until the next time you play a button-scored game.
