Pickleball Open Play: PBQueue

PB Queue handles court rotation and matchmaking for pickleball open play all on one screen.

Running open play shouldn't mean a whiteboard, a stack of paper, or arguing about who's next. PBQueue turns a single phone or tablet into the command center for your session. It decides who plays next, on which court, with whom, and keeps every rotation fair. Players don't download anything. They just glance at the host's screen.

WHAT IT DOES

Two ways to match. Pick at setup, or switch any time during the session.

Balanced (default). Players who've sat out longest play first, and no one gets stuck playing every round. Courts are grouped by skill so games stay competitive. Same partners and opponents are actively avoided. One tap stages the next round.

Winners & Losers. After each game, winners are matched with other winners and losers with losers, on a fair rotation. Pure courts get a Winners or Losers tag so you can read the ladder at a glance.

Or take full control. Build any matchup by hand. Tap a slot, pick a player. Swap anyone with a tap. Shuffle cycles through every team split without changing the players. The algorithm is there when you want it, out of the way when you don't.

Live court view. Every court shows a mini-diagram of who's on it, a running timer, and the current score. See the whole session at a glance: which court is freeing up, who's waiting longest, who's resting. A match history at the bottom logs every completed game, plus a full recap when you end the session.

Fast scoring. Tap a team to add a point, long-press to undo. End a match with a full score, a winner only, or skip scoring entirely.

Player management. Add players one by one or paste a whole list. Rate them on the pickleball 2.5 to 5.0 scale, from Beginner through Expert (including a 4.0 High Intermediate). Link partners who always play together. Swipe to mark someone resting or away. Drop in latecomers without missing a beat.

Flexible courts. Start with two, add a third when one opens up, remove one when it rains. Adjust on the fly.
