Plana - Handwriting Planner

Plana brings the freedom of a paper planner together with the convenience of a calendar app.

Write plans and notes on iPad with Apple Pencil, alongside typed events and tasks. Check and edit events on iPhone when you're out, and see what's next on Apple Watch. Start with the free plan.

■ A calendar you can write on
Write directly on the Day, Week, and Month pages. In Week and Month, your strokes can cross date boundaries. Year view helps you see the bigger picture.
Add pen and highlighter marks, text boxes, photos, and stickers. You can also add your own image stickers. Long-press an event to move it or double-tap to edit it.

■ Turn handwritten times into reminders
Write something like “9:00 Meeting” and Plana can recognize the time for a notification. Review the recognized text and time on screen before relying on the alert. Recognized handwritten plans can also be checked on iPhone and Apple Watch.

■ Find what you wrote
Search handwriting across past pages to find plans and notes without flipping through your calendar.

■ Events and tasks together
Work with Apple Calendar and Reminders. View existing events and tasks, or add and edit them in Plana. Events, tasks, and recognized handwriting alerts appear in chronological order.
Save frequently used events as templates. Choose which calendars and reminder lists to show, set the first day of the week, and adjust event text size.

■ A pocket-sized companion on iPhone
See a selected day, a week, or a month in an iPhone-friendly layout. Today's overview puts events, tasks, and handwriting alerts in time order. You can also open the familiar iPad page to review it and edit calendar events.

■ Your next plans on Apple Watch
Switch between Day, Week, and Month in the Watch app. Complications and Smart Stack widgets show upcoming events and tasks. On a Modular Duo face, use morning and afternoon timelines; complete tasks from your Watch. A complication can show three upcoming events or tasks.

■ Your planner on the Home Screen
iPad widgets can show your calendar with events, tasks, handwriting, and placed content. Stack the month widgets split into earlier and later weeks, or the week widgets split by time of day, to keep your writing readable and close at hand.

■ Continue across devices
Sync handwriting, text boxes, images, notes, and stickers with iCloud. Check sync status and export a backup of your data.

Core features are available for free. Plana Premium adds Week view, the handwriting memo panel on the right of Day, the one-week view on iPhone, and selected Apple Watch features including Week view and the three-item complication.
