Planet Mood: Earth is an interactive global climate model designed
for exploration, research, and informed travel planning.

The application visualizes long-term climate conditions across the
entire planet using high-resolution scientific datasets and expert
interpretation by specialists.

This is not a short-term weather forecast.
Planet Mood presents climate averages based on multi-year
observations, helping users understand how Earth's climate behaves
over time.


What you can do

• Explore Earth through an interactive 3D globe
• View climate conditions at any point on the planet
• Analyze temperature, precipitation, cloudiness, and seasonal patterns
• Build custom climate maps using the integrated Map Builder
• Create thematic global layers based on your selected climate criteria
• Tap any coastal point to see a 24-hour ocean tide forecast — current
height, times of next high and low tides, all from a draggable popup
• Use climate insights for education, scientific research, and travel
planning


Scientific data sources

Planet Mood: Earth is built using open scientific datasets, including:

• High-resolution (1 km) Köppen–Geiger climate classification maps
• ERA5 post-processed daily climate statistics (1940–present)
• ECMWF — European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts
• NOAA climate datasets
• FES2022b global ocean tide model (AVISO+) — harmonic constants
for on-device tide prediction (M2, S2, K1, O1 constituents)

All core functionality of Planet Mood: Earth is fully available for
free, including tide forecasts for the current day at any coastal
point on the globe.

From time to time, advertisements may be displayed to support ongoing
development.

Users may optionally subscribe to:

Yearly No Ads Subscription

• Removes all advertisements
• Unlocks multi-day tide forecast scrolling for trip planning
(view tides days or weeks ahead of your trip)
• Helps support and fund further development of the project

The subscription is optional. Core climate exploration and same-day
tide forecasts remain fully available for free.


Privacy & transparency

Planet Mood: Earth respects user privacy.

• The app uses open scientific climate and ocean-tide data
• No personal data is required to access core functionality
• App Tracking Transparency may be requested to reduce ad frequency
and to help improve and develop the application
