Pollop

Pollop is a ranking-based content sharing platform where users can create and discover
new trends. With Pollop, users can gain insights into the latest trends of user-generated
content. The platform shows the rankings of all content and hashtags in an intuitive way,
which are based on simple "likes".



There are two ways to participate in Pollop.



First, when a new content is uploaded, the community can review it through the First
Impression feature, which removes any social influence and hides the creator's identity.



Second, after the First Impression, the content can be reviewed in its category and
hashtags, all displayed in accordance of their popularity. User can also give his or her
“likes” for content to help increase the content’s score, if they have not had an opportunity to
participate in the content’s the First Impression.


The First Impression score is permanent and has more weight, while the score within a
category will decrease over time.



If a user cannot find a trending hashtag they are looking for, they can create a new one and
be recognized as the creator. The creator's name will be memorialized on the hashtag
display as long as it is being used, provided that in situations where the hashtag refers to a
specific name that is proprietary and a change request is deemed necessary, Pollop may be
required to remove or change the display accordingly.
