pratnome: Metronome Trainer

pratnome is a programmable metronome built for musicians who want the tempo to change without stopping their practice.

Choose a starting BPM, decide how many bars to play before each change, and set the amount to increase or decrease. pratnome follows the progression automatically so you can keep your hands on your instrument and your attention on the music.

Example:
Start at 70 BPM → increase by 10 BPM every 4 bars → stop at 120 BPM.

AUTOMATIC TEMPO PROGRESSION

Raise or lower the BPM at the bar intervals you choose. Set upper and lower tempo limits for structured speed, technique, and control practice.

CLASSIC METRONOME

Need a steady click? Switch to Classic Metronome mode. Automatic progression turns off and the metronome keeps playing at a fixed BPM until you stop it.

BUILD CUSTOM PRACTICE ROUTINES

Create programs made of different tempos, bar counts, and time signatures.

For example:
• 4 bars — 70 BPM
• 4 bars — 80 BPM
• 8 bars — 90 BPM

Reorder steps, repeat a program a set number of times, or run it in an infinite loop. Save routines for later, edit them, duplicate them, and start them with one tap.

FLEXIBLE TIME SIGNATURES

Use 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, 9/8, and 12/8 presets, or create a custom meter with 1–16 beats per bar and a note value of 2, 4, 8, or 16.

COUNT-INS AND SPOKEN BPM

Use a count-in once at the start, repeat it whenever the tempo changes, or turn it off. Enable spoken tempo announcements to hear the new BPM without looking at the screen.

STAY FOCUSED ON PRACTICE

Your settings are saved between sessions. When a practice session ends, pratnome returns directly to the main screen without adding an unnecessary summary step.
