Profound: News Explained

Profound helps you understand selected science and economic announcements with short AI summaries and answers grounded in original sources.

INITIAL COVERAGE
This first release draws from permitted official feeds, including NASA, the Federal Reserve Board and NIST. Coverage is limited and depends on new announcements; some categories may have no stories.

ONE STORY. ONE SWIPE.
Each story fills the screen: a clear headline, a short summary and why it matters. Swipe up for the next one. No endless lists, no clutter.

ASK PROFOUND
Every story comes with questions worth asking — "Why does this matter?", "Who is affected?", "What happens next?" — tailored to the story. Tap one and the answer appears instantly. Or ask anything in your own words and keep the conversation going with follow-ups.

GROUNDED IN REAL REPORTING
When several publishers cover the same event, Profound brings their coverage together into one story and shows every source. Answers cite the reporting they're based on and say plainly when the evidence is limited. Tap any source to read the original article.

CLEARLY LABELLED
Summaries and answers are written by AI and always marked as such, kept separate from the original reporting. Profound stays neutral on politics and gives factual context, not financial advice.
