Proofhaus Home Inventory

Proofhaus is a calm, tidy record of what is in your home. Room by room, it keeps the photo of each thing, its receipt, its serial number and when its warranty ends — so the facts are at hand when something breaks, goes missing or moves house with you.

How it works
1. Start with one room. Name it after the room you are in; a photo of it is optional.
2. Add your things with a single photo or just a name. Fill in the rest whenever you like: more photos, brand and model, purchase date and price, notes.
3. Keep the paperwork with the item. Scan a receipt, take a photo or import a PDF — receipts, invoices, warranty cards, manuals. One document can belong to several items.
4. Note when a warranty ends, and Proofhaus reminds you 30 and 7 days before.

Serial numbers can be typed or read from the label with the camera; characters that are easy to confuse, such as 0 and O, are marked so you can compare them with the label. Search by name, brand, serial number or room, and filter by category, warranty or receipt. Items can be marked as sold, given away, lost or archived, and anything you delete can be restored for 30 days.

Proofhaus Pro reads receipts on your device (the store, the date and the total are filled in for you to check; PDF e-invoices such as ZUGFeRD and Factur-X are read from their data) and makes the Insurance Pack: one PDF of your inventory, room by room, with photos, purchase details, serial numbers and warranty dates. Room Sweep suggests large items such as sofas, beds, screens or bicycles from up to five photos of a room, and you keep or ignore each suggestion. Pro also brings moving boxes with printable QR labels, reminder days of your choice, and unlimited homes and items. It is a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase; there is no free trial. The free plan covers one home with up to 50 items, and if Pro ends, nothing is deleted or locked.

Questions people ask
Does Proofhaus need an account? No. There is no account and there are no ads.
Where is my inventory stored? On your device. Text recognition and Room Sweep run on the device too. You can require Face ID to open the app, and the app switcher shows a cover instead of your rooms.
Can I take my data with me? Yes. A full backup — one ZIP file with your inventory and every original photo and document — and a CSV spreadsheet are free at any time, and a backup can be restored on another device. Proofhaus does not sync between devices yet.
Does the app collect statistics? Only if you turn on "Share anonymous usage statistics" in Settings; it stays off until you do.
Is the Insurance Pack a valuation? No. It documents what you own; it does not decide whether or how much an insurer pays. Automatic reading and suggestions can be wrong, so you always check them before anything is saved.
