PuzzlePause is a pause notebook for a physical jigsaw. It remembers where you left off: which sections are already together, which box holds the loose pieces, which piece is missing, and which part to set out first when you sit down again.

See how much of the puzzle is finished, how each region is moving, and a rough sense of the time still ahead.

Layout
Divide a big puzzle into a few memorable sections and place them the way they sit on the real table. Each region keeps its piece count, difficulty, progress, and the container it belongs to. Mark a missing piece right where it should be.

Trays
Name every box. Note its color, group, and the shelf it lives on. Loose pieces are counted on their own, apart from sections you have already joined.

Journal
Save a snapshot before you pack up. Compare two evenings side by side, or restore the layout from the night you stopped. A backup is saved before anything is put back.

Pause and return
Set the puzzle out again in a considered order: frame and stable sections first, gaps after. Check off each part as it lands. Leave a note for the next pair of hands, yours or someone else's.

Four ways to guess a little less

Will it fit
Measure the finished puzzle and the inside of a tray. Estimate how many trays the loose pieces need, and how much room is left. Joined sections still want a stiff board. This estimate is for loose pieces.

How long is left
Remaining pieces, region difficulty, and the pace you actually keep produce an adjustable time range. Use it to plan the week, and adjust the numbers until the range feels like your table.

Searching one box for a particular piece? See how the chance of a match rises as you look through more of the pile.

What to set out first
Completion, structure, size, distance, and tray changes combine into a return order, plus a rough minute count for getting the table ready.

Change a number and the result updates, with the idea behind it written on the screen. The puzzle stays on your table. The decisions stay yours.
